Privacy
CareTrail has no accounts and no forms. We don’t ask for your name, and we don’t sell anything about you. Updated October 15, 2026.
Finding homes near you
A postal code, town or location you enter on the “near you” page stays in your browser. To place a postal code, the page asks our server for its first three characters only (for example T6L), and it never puts what you typed in the page address. Analytics records only that a search happened and how (postal code, town or location), never what you searched for.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. It sets cookies and receives your IP address, browser and the pages you view, which Google processes under its own privacy policy. You can block it with Google’s opt-out browser add-on or your browser’s privacy settings. The site works without it.
Advertising
The site may show ads from Google AdSense, labelled “Advertisement”. Advertisers have no say in a home’s results or its place in any list. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google’s advertising cookies let it and its partners serve ads based on those visits. You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google’s Ads Settings, and out of other vendors’ cookies at aboutads.info. How Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Hosting and email
The site is hosted on Vercel, whose servers log requests (including IP addresses) for security and operation. If you write to hello@caretrail.ca, we keep your message to answer it and add you to no list.
The homes’ data
The inspection records are the Government of Alberta’s public compliance reporting. Where an operator asked that a home’s address not be shown, we show its city only, and operators who are people, not organisations, are not named. Questions: hello@caretrail.ca.
